I’m Maria Munir, a Vancouver based Product Designer who specializes in human centered design and strategy, working to create more accessible, inclusive and engaging digital products.

I have over three years of professional design experience and currently work as a UX designer at TRIUMF, Canada’s Particle Accelerator Centre. I graduated with honours from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelors of Architectural Studies. I am an associate member of the RGD, Association of Registered Graphic Designers, and DESCAN, the Design Professionals of Canada. I have received an In-house Design Award in 2024 from the RGD, acted as a judge in an SFU branding hackathon, and most recently led the design of TRIUMF’s rebuilt and rebranded website, TRIUMF.ca.

I love the human centred design process, and the user stories that can be told to drive a project forward. I have worked with many teams, strategizing project goals, balancing client and user needs, and creating graphic content to communicate our designs to stakeholders and users. I am endlessly curious, and pride myself most on my work ethic.

I am most passionate about social good, sustainability, and community. I also love reading, snowboarding, and making art.
